Racismo
una breve introducción
Rattansi, Ali
Although focused largely (and not by accident) in the sphere of the United States and Great Britain, this work by Ali Rattansi does not neglect either the manifestations of the scourge of racism in various European and non-European countries (Asia , Oceania), nor the global phenomena that are anti-Semitism and Islamophobia. But, apart from examining specific cases, the author also traces in this brief introduction not only a history of racism (inseparable from the concept of race, born in the 16th century), but also of its typology and its protean evolution in the decades more recent, despite the fact that at present the latest developments in the sequencing of the human genome fundamentally invalidate any notion of a pure race.
