Que nada se sabe

Que nada se sabe

Sánchez, Francisco (1550-1623)
Sánchez Manzano, María Asunción (ed.)

Behind skepticism, which seems to be stated in the title Quod nihil scitur, there is a proposal to study the current conditions for teaching natural philosophy, and medicine in particular. It presents a discourse on the subject of knowledge, its capabilities and difficulties, advocating a new method in the foundation of the sciences. As a participant in the humanistic culture, which kept the memory of Lucretius's De rerum natura, his thought preluded the debates of Francis Bacon's Novum Organum and the Cartesian Method Discourse.
