Printzak begietan

There have been great changes in the 20th century. In the 20th century: people coming in search of work, cinema and other inventions, plans for revolution, a cruel war and a long post-war period, slums, the rebirth of dreams of freedom... In the meantime, some things have not changed that much: the oppression of the poor, the denigration of the Basque language, the subjugation of women... To face all this, the thirst for freedom, the solidarity of the workers, the sisterhood of the ladies have been strong. Iratxe Ormatza has created a story for each decade of the 20th century, and tells the experiences of a woman in each story. Ten women through the streets of Bilbao, crossing the social, political and cultural atmosphere, with pain and joy.
