The book that takes us to the sensory experience of childhood. Who does not want to feel again the sensations we had in childhood at the sight of a sky, the heat, the rain, the insects? Pastoral reactivates our ability to feel the world as when it is discovered for the first time. And from there, identities, wars, racism are ridiculed. Summer, 1980s. Brothers Oscar and Louise have grown up in a place near a town divided in two: the ghetto of the strictly religious Dutch reformers and the Moluccans who made up the Dutch East Indian Army. The two groups of people were suspicious of each other. While Oscar, his last year of school, is looking forward to going to a university in a big city, his sister Louis returns wondering if this trip has given him any interesting knowledge. And it is love that really moves the world.
