de un proceso tedioso a un ciclo menstrual poderoso

Tijaro, Isis

51% of the population menstruate each month for approximately 40 years of their life. Even so, the subject is taboo and many menstruating people do not really know what happens in their body, other than observing their bleeding. This is a problem of education and fundamental rights, which turns misinformation into a device of exploitation and bodily illiteracy. The handling of the period as something dirty that needs to be cleaned and treated only from the hygienic point of view has been a control mechanism over the body of girls and women throughout most of human history. Hormonal cyclicity has also been defined as a disadvantage on a social and emotional level, in a culture that loaded menstruation with stigmas and myths. From a holistic vision that combines anthropology, biology, the emotional universe and the spiritual approach, Isis Tijaro presents a tool that teaches self-care based on knowledge; because menstruation is an integral part of health and everyday life. The time has come to rewrite our rules.
