Nos veíamos mejor en la oscuridad
Zgustová, Monika
A mother and a daughter. Forty years ago, they had to flee totalitarianism with the rest of their family. Since then, their relationship has been marked by everything that exile broke forever. Over the years, both have rebuilt their lives, although on different continents, always prisoners of not being from anywhere. And the distance, the little time they share and the different realities in which they live have been weakening the links between them. As the daughter flies over the ocean to see her older mother perhaps for the last time, she reviews the existence of one and the other seeking understanding. And when she arrives, many surprises await her that will show that the end of life can be the most intense, profound and beautiful moment that can be experienced with a mother.
