Neu de tardor
Némirovsky, Irène
Tatiana Ivanovna has devoted her entire life to the Karins, an aristocratic family living near Moscow. She has been a nanny for several generations of the family and now she has to watch the younger boys join the ranks of the Russian army in the Great War. Then, while they are still at the front, the October Revolution breaks out and the Karins, in order not to lose their lives, are forced into exile in Paris. The old nanny will follow them docilely around Europe, but, unlike the rest of the family, she won't be able to stop missing the autumn snow.
