Nadie corre más que el plomo
Marín, Ignacio
During the Transition, a fishing village on the Levantine coast sees its peace cut short after the murder of its mayor. Everyone is a suspect in a place besieged by the unscrupulous voracity of real estate speculation. But, perhaps, the main threat to Benissa de la Safor does not even come from this world... Eugenio Martín, deputy director of the Superior Police Corps, travels from Madrid with the aim of investigating the gruesome murder. There he reunites with Paco and Rosa, companions in pain during the savage end of the dictatorship. Haunted by the ghosts of the past, Eugenio will meet a whole series of characters who will show him the most sordid side of society. However, he will also discover the solidarity and joy of the residents of Grau, the humble fishing neighborhood that is about to be devoured by the supposed progress that mass tourism brings. Neighbors who believe they are protected by an ancient legend, the Polseguera, which manifests itself with all the fury of nature. The cruelty and greed of human beings will test this alleged supernatural power.
