Música para la vida

Música para la vida

from Bach to Radiohead

Zapata, José Manuel (1973-)

When Zapata was a child, his musical repertoire barely went beyond Perales and Gardel. His first performances were in the patio of lights of the little apartment in Granada where he lived, where the neighbors leaned out to applaud his particular "Joselito". Since then, Zapata has sung at La Scala in Milan and the Metropolitan Opera House in New York, and has become one of the most relevant Spanish tenors in the world. What has happened in the middle of all that? Can music change our lives so much? Not all of us can sing at the MET, but this book wants to tell us that there is music for everyone and that it can be a tool that changes us and that fills us with confidence, empathy and, ultimately, happiness. Good music has no gender, it has no age. Good music is feeling, and it is for everyone.
