Although in the last century and a half the world economy has experienced unprecedented growth, we still have many challenges ahead. Inequality has increased, and the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere is increasing steadily. To help correct this imbalance between economic growth and social and environmental challenges, the B Corp movement was born. The companies that form it -known as B Corp companies- are part of a global network of more than 4,500 companies distributed in 77 countries that comply with the highest standards of social and environmental performance, legal responsibility and transparency. Among them, we find large companies such as Patagonia, Ben & Jerry's, Danone and Eileen Fisher, which use the strength of the company to generate a positive impact.
