Mil lunas

Barry, Sebastian

Winona is a young Lakota orphan, adopted by former soldiers Thomas McNulty and John Cole. She lives with Thomas and John on the farm where they both work in the 1870s in Tennessee; she receives education and affection, which helps her build a life for herself by overcoming the violence and plundering of her past. But in the days following the Civil War, the fragile harmony of her unusual family unit will soon be threatened by another traumatic event, which Winona will have a hard time coping with and much harder to understand.
