Microliteraturas

Rodríguez-Velasco, Jesús D.

Microliterature (as proposed in this book) is a form of production of written culture that takes advantage of the blank spaces of space and time. Microliterature is also the very materiality of writing, the complication that occurs in the margins of manuscripts and printed books, and that requires labyrinthine, messy, but at the same time systematic forms of reading. And microliterature is also an activity on the part of those who produce it: a feverish activity, slightly maddened to find a voice and an audience from the margins of books in private libraries that are never totally private. The study of microliterature calls for the study of objects, of material aspects, of work circles, of forms of networking, and, of course, the central activity of all microliterature: "thinking with", not just interpreting. Well, in the end, microliterature is but one of the names of critical thinking and the Humanities.
