Meteorosensibles
cómo el tiempo influye en nuestra salud física y mental
Gómez Hernández, Mar
We take it for granted that storms depress us, that spring fatigue exists, that the winds drive us crazy, and that the moon affects women's menstrual cycles. But what is true about it? And even more important, that other environmental aspects or weather changes can affect our physical and mental health. When Mar Gómez, a physicist and meteorologist, moved to the southwest of Madrid, she noticed how her body responded to the drier weather and gusty winds there. Pushed by her scientific curiosity, she immersed herself in the study of meteorosensitivity, a little-known discipline but one that has fascinating answers to understand what effects atmospheric changes have on our bodies. And more importantly, how the climate change suffered by the planet will end up affecting us all.
