Metamorfosis de ciutats

With the speed of a dream, the poet crosses places and times, languages and dialects; in the present of the writing Pierís contracts past and future, memory and present and future visions. Moving from the sometimes real, sometimes dreamlike city, he pursues the same ideal inspiration, unattainable and changing. Cities-women, cities-monsters, cities-nereids, cities-princesses, queens of other times, cities-lovers, sweet, sensual, but also hard, which become the metaphor of an existential struggle that does not stop. It is a sensual and musical journey, where the muse-cities find expression in poetry and in the end become "poetry" themselves, where the poet will live. The city-poems in this anthology are actually a work in progress: the poet pursues the multiple metamorphoses of known and sensually lived cities. It is the work of a Cypriot poet, originally from a small homeland, who moves in a broader geographical and cultural environment that assimilates him.
