Hormuth, Jane

Scotland, 15th century. Clarion McLeod goes to Coill Castle to meet Daimh, his former comrade-in-arms and laird of Clan Mackenzie. When Daimh's wife, Aila, hugs Clarion to greet him, she has a vision that he will have to help an English lady on the run. Elinor Multon, sister of Brayton, baron of the English estate of Burgh by Sands, is forced to escape from the clutches of the terrible father Dagger, who has always wanted her and who, not getting her as she longs, accuses her of witchcraft. The English noblewoman ends up in Scottish lands, where her destiny will lead her to cross paths with Clarion, who, warned by the vision of the sorceress Aila, will not hesitate to lend her help and protection. The endless hatred between the Scots and the English, the religious fanaticism that runs through England and the threat of Father Dagger will push Clarion and Elinor to have to make the decision to marry so that the Highlander can protect the English lady. The Scotsman's rescue will lead Elinor down the unexpected path of love. Elinor will manage to face her demons with the unwavering help of Clarion, who feels more and more surrendered to her southern fairy.
