Marte Azul
Robinson, Kim Stanley
Colonists on Mars have long worked to "terraform" the red planet and have come to produce a habitable atmosphere, similar to that of Earth. Several oceans now cover part of the surface, and gigantic, open-plan tents preserve areas of Mars in their original state. Meanwhile, on Earth the ice caps at the poles are melting and humanity is struggling to survive the floods. Terraforming techniques begin to be applied on Jupiter and Saturn as a new ice age threatens Mars.
