Madrid nos mata

Madrid nos mata

Salem, Carlos

Old women with their throats cut looking towards Mecca, the leader of the Muslims executed by the Jewish kosher rite... The multicultural neighborhood of Lavapiés is a bomb with several lit fuses and will blow up Madrid. Only the Brigade of the Apostles of Severo Justo and Dalia Fierro can prevent it. Or not. After a year catching international killers and distracted by their personal problems, they're being taken down by a neighborhood killer. In parallel, Justo investigates the kidnapping of the unknown son of a young candidate for Pope who only longs to be a father thirty years late. As a background, real estate speculation, corruption, the rise of the extreme right, shantytowns and wealthy neighborhoods; a welcoming and indifferent city at the same time. Madrid can be a mother, but also a goddess who demands human sacrifices and always obtains them.
