The fabulously wealthy kingdom of Sambalpur is home to tigers, diamond mines and the beautiful Palace of the Sun. However, when Crown Prince Adhir is assassinated in the presence of Captain Sam Wyndham and Sergeant Banerjee in Calcutta, they decide to track down from the mysterious missives received by the prince to Sambalpur, a small fief in the state of Orissa, where they discover a kingdom torn apart by a latent conflict.
