Los cuadernos de Nadine

July 1914. Since the assassination of the Archduke of Austria in Sarajevo, the drums of war have been beating throughout Europe. In Paris, Nadine Ledoux lets herself be captivated by Raoul Villain, a reserved young man behind whose shyness she senses a noble character. Jean Jaurès, director of the newspaper L'Humanité, a great intellectual, pacifist and leader of the French socialists, orchestrates a political and media campaign against the imminent war: he knows that the poor and the workers have nothing to gain from the conflict. What Jaurès doesn't know (or maybe he does?) is that time is running out...
