Valentina Palau, a rich heiress of the Pi i Blanquerna family, seeks normalcy by rejoining the Mossos d'Esquadra. But when her cousin Paula returns to Barcelona and settles with her, they begin to receive disturbing gifts that point to Pas de Bocmort, where Paula seems to own land that she did not even know existed. Investigating what Pas de Bocmort is hiding would be easier for Valentina without Inspector Martí Alemany, who has a personal interest in recovering a case that had the area frightened for decades.
