Les combatents

Les combatents

la història oblidada de les milicianes antifeixistes

Berger, Gonzalo
Balló, Tània

All the protagonists of this story are women who decided to face the onslaught of the uprising through armed struggle. His dedication and participation as combatants in the fight against fascism was central to the war strategy on the part of the Republican side. But as the war progressed, their organizations relegated them to tasks in the rear, even discrediting their status as militias. Eventually history forgot them. But who were these fighters? On what fronts did they fight? How did the withdrawal of women from the front take place? What did they do until the defeat of the year 39? What was your final destination? Research in order to reconstruct their biographies and thus recover the fundamental role they played in historical events will be the common thread to explain the facts from a gender perspective.
