Barcelona, 1938

Barcelona, 1938. While fascist bombs fall on Barcelona, two women try to unravel the mysterious disappearance of Julián, a representative of artists, while verifying that the streets of Barcelona hide even more dangerous secrets than the hateful war. One morning in March, when the country has been plunged into a bloody civil conflict for twenty long months, María wakes up with a start and discovers her brother-in-law Julián Márquez on the landing of her apartment in the Ensanche. Powerless and terrified, she watches through the peephole as two men take him by force. But before she does, Julián manages to give her a small bundle of cloth that the woman must hide. Lola, María's childhood friend and police widow, will lend her a hand in the search for clues to find him. In addition, Lola will come across a network of prostitution, drugs and extortion that operates with total impunity under the protection of the chaotic nights of a city shaken by enemy bombs.
