Las razones del populismo

Populism, which has been contemptuously associated with charismatic leadership, emotional adherence and identity rhetoric, continues to be a pending account for reflection that helps us understand the limits of political reason, but also its possibilities and hopes. We live in a world crossed by a logic of belongings that does not move according to arguments, but displaying identity and ideological symptoms. This book is an update of a previous one, In defense of populism (2016), published when Podemos had just appeared on the political scene, causing the crisis of bipartisanship. A lot has changed since then. But what has not changed is the problem we are facing: the need for a program capable of conquering centrality in the political arena.
