Las ideas filosóficas de Marx
Álvarez González, Eduardo
This book joins a trend that seems to be prevailing in recent years, in which attention and interest towards the figure of Marx reappear, whose work is once again the subject of heated discussions about the different meanings it presents and the validity of many of his theoretical approaches. And it intends to contribute to this recovery, seeking the genuine meaning of its theoretical contribution, which has often been overshadowed or distorted by the formidable weight of interpretations that have used it for spurious purposes. A whole long history of heated political debate over the past 150 years, largely associated with dramatic historical experiences of a very diverse nature, sandwiched between Marx and us and distorting our access to his original work, charging him with all kinds of prejudice. That is why we must try to understand Marx in the economic, social, political and intellectual context of his time, and not so much through the use that has been made of him in later times. But the angle chosen to examine Marx's thought is that of philosophy. It is here, in effect, the philosophical ideas of Marx, the philosophical component in his work, which in our opinion - as we try to show - is an essential aspect of his theoretical contribution that always accompanied him throughout his intellectual development.
