La suerte suprema
Antolín Rato, Mariano
A global blackout. Lack of digital connections. The writer Rafael Lobo leaves his home in Escondido, a small town in depopulated Spain, willing to find a way to resume his telematic relationship with Helwna Troyano, an explosive virtual woman and hypothetical outdated muse. A woman, Helwna Troyano, who is in turn the obstacle that prevents him from undertaking the writing of a work, commissioned by an important publishing group, destined to be integrated into an essay on the so-called late style of writers at the end of his life. For a week, Lobo moves through a present as fictitious, undesirable and plagued by disasters as ours: fires, food shortages, robberies, computer tricks, state terrorism, cities plunged into chaos, mined territories, lies, mass exoduses... Isn't that enough for a tired, vulnerable old man? A moment of calm, Wolf. The search for Helwna Trojan continues, and as Lobo's boots go by, dangerous characters appear (marginal criminals, cannibals, terrorists, killer robots...) in an arid land that suffers environmental disasters caused by the sudden and hypnotic advance of devastating climate change. But Lobo never gives up and continues on his way to an unexpected end. An ending that will explain the numerous and unprecedented events that punctuate this cybernetic odyssey.
