Kate Marshall was a promising young police inspector when she caught the notorious serial killer from the Nine Elms neighborhood in London. However, her greatest feat became her worst nightmare. Betrayed by someone very close to her and traumatized by the horrifying circumstances surrounding the media case, she Kate was forced to leave her position. Fifteen years later, though her ghosts still haunt her, Kate tries to move on as a criminology professor at a quiet university in the south of England.
