La fuente del encanto
(poemas de una vida 1980-2021)
Trapiello, Andrés
The result of more than four decades of dedication to the genre, La Fuente del Encanto offers a selection of fifty poems, among them some unpublished ones, chosen by Andrés Trapiello among his nine published titles, accompanied by prose comments that have been expressly written for the occasion. The book is conceived as a story, a long meditation on life and poetry. Prose is entrusted with the narrative part and the recounting of life: first poetic steps, readings, teachers, friends, editions, personal poetics, generational poetics and a few issues that help to understand and contextualize some poems that are interspersed throughout the narration. In the poems, the substantial part, have crystallized those feelings and thoughts that speak of their author, or have tried to do so, with the greatest truth and intimacy. The purpose of the book is to present prose and verse, the novel of life and poetry hand in hand, forming an inseparable set for those who think that living is living poetically. Ethics and aesthetics for life and prose and verse for writing, all united, all forming a living being, an organism with a life of its own. With this volume Trapiello summarizes his personal contribution to the vast and secular itinerary of a truth and a beauty made among all and for all.
