La extinción del neandertal y los humanos modernos

La extinción del neandertal y los humanos modernos

entre el síndrome de Frankenstein y el dilema de la Morsa y el Carpintero

Monclova Bohórguez, Antonio

Was the extinction of Neanderthals caused by environmental changes or by the arrival of modern humans? These hominins represent for science one of the great challenges of knowledge closer to our feelings as a species, and surely, that is the reason why after a century and a half of debate there are still questions to be answered beyond mere speculation involved in science. . This work analyzes the role played by science in interpreting how the extinction of the Neanderthals took place and how many authors have looked, from different perspectives, for patterns that could explain this disappearance in relation to the arrival of the first Anatomically Modern Humans to Europe in the late Pleistocene.
