La edad dorada

1893. In New York City these are times of dizzying splendor but at the same time of extreme poverty and change. The Brooklyn Bridge is nearing completion and the city is under the control of Anthony Comstock, who leads a brutal crusade against vice. Anna Savard and her cousin Sophie, both graduates of the Women's Medical School, serve the most vulnerable citizens, even though doing so could put everything they have fought for at risk. For Anna, her role as a surgeon has put her in the path of four children who have lost everything. Faced with her helplessness, Anna must make an unexpected decision between staying in the pain of her past or letting love finally enter her life.
