La desventura de Isabel II
la reina y Francisco de Asís en el exilio de París
Reyero, Carlos
September 1868. Queen Elizabeth II and her husband Francisco de Asís spend the last days of summer on the Basque coast. She, oblivious to the political situation, enjoys it in the company of her lover, Carlos Marfori, while her husband strives to please her gentleman, Antonio Ramos Meneses, in order to keep him by her side. The queen feels master of her destiny. The king, on the other hand, experiences the tensions of an equivocal relationship that makes him uneasy. From one day to the next, that deceptive normality cracks. The outbreak of the revolution forces them into exile in France. Subjected to other people's interests, the distance from the throne transforms them. For the first time in their lives they are forced to face themselves.
