La cortesana fiel
Rábago, Isabel
Sara, adviser and lover of a renowned politician from the new generations of her party, who aspires to preside over it as a first step to reach La Moncloa, frequently escapes from work to visit the Prado Museum. In a temporary exhibition she is fascinated by the Lady discovering her breast, by Domenico Tintoretto. Who is that woman who shows herself with such impudence, beautiful, haughty, incomparable? Scholars believe that it is Veronica Franco, one of the most desired and influential "honest courtesans" of her time, a cultured, refined prostitute, a lover of painters, nobles and kings, a well-known and respected poet. Returning to the Congress, she enthusiastically talks to her lover about that incredible woman and he, in a reckless act, proposes a trip to Venice, where they can walk their love without obstacles and learn more about the courtesan. And while the young lover becomes obsessed with Veronica, with whom she feels identified, some agendas that show the corruption of one of the historical parties on the Spanish scene and the very compromising photos that a paparazzi has taken of them await them on their return with all the dirty weapons from the sewers of the State.
