La cortesana de León
Sempere, Francisco
1100 AD C. The turbulent line of succession of the kingdoms of León, Castilla and Galicia forces Doña Urraca de Zamora, sister and right hand of King Alfonso VI, to ensure a future for her niece, the Infanta Urraca, to whom the monarch has removed from the throne in favor of his youngest son, Sancho Alfónsez. However, the royal advisor is not willing to allow it and for this reason she decides to commission Lisarda, a young and cunning courtesan with few means, to intrigue at court with the aim of having her protégé be crowned queen with full rights against the will of the sovereign. Lisarda's task is not easy, but with the help of the mercenary Petro the Carthaginian, she will soon begin to devise a stratagem so that kings, nobles and other lords of the court fall into her networks.
