The poems in The Incandescent Needle revolve around time, understood not as simple becoming, but as a story, as a construction. For the poet, time is the sum of moments that have found a hold in places, in images, in the objects in which they remain; It is the needle that weaves the thread that orders them and unites them, creating the illusion of continuity, which signifies them and leads them towards a destination; the incandescent needle whose spinning creates everything and destroys everything. "Stripped of everything / we are only / time / whose duration we ignore." Therefore, to think about time is to think about what constitutes us most intimately.
