This is the story of Irish theater legend Katherine O'Dell: her unusual beginnings; her early stardom in Hollywood and into her maturity, the ups and downs of her in Dublin and London's West End. Katherine's life is and always has been a great performance, with her daughter Norah watching from the backstage. But this love story between mother and daughter cannot survive Katherine's past or the damage the world inflicts on her. Fame will turn to infamy when Katherine decides to commit a strange crime and begins an unstoppable descent into hell.
