Khalil

Khadra, Yasmina

Khalil is a young man of Moroccan origin who lives in Belgium away from most of his family. He spends time with the "brothers" from the mosque and with his two childhood friends of his, Rayan and Driss. Both Khalil and Driss feel rejected by the society in which they live and end up joining a terrorist cell that asks them to blow themselves up in the Paris stadium along with a large suicide squad. But, on that November 13, 2015, Khalil's explosive belt did not detonate. Furious, confused and disoriented, he will have to hide his goals from family and friends and, what is worse, face the reality of continuing to live. Which is not going to be easy when the course of life, and death, can sow doubt in dogmas that seem incontestable.
