¿Qué es la Naturaleza?
Putallaz, François-Xavier
Hadjadj, Fabrice
This essay seeks to rethink the concept of nature, confronting the intelligence of classical authors such as Aristotle with postmodern challenges. Faced with the environmental emergency, "nature" is in fashion and, already converted into a slogan, runs the risk of becoming just another artifice. Therefore, it is necessary to radically rethink the concept of nature, confronting the intelligence of the Ancients, particularly that of Aristotle, with post-modern challenges. Is man, before the plurality of his cultures, a natural being? How are nature and freedom, or nature and technology, articulated? Why does the colorful crowd of human beings remind us of our vocation as ark builders? This short essay discusses romantic biocentrism and deviant anthropocentrism, and provides the building blocks of a truly comprehensive ecology.
