Inspector Tomás Abad is obsessed with finding the murderer of several women, but his search will lead him to a descent into hell when he discovers that one of the people he loves most is involved in the case. Her attempt to protect her will cause him to make a decision that will separate him from the police force forever. Two years later he works as a watchman in the Almudena cemetery, and while he endures shifts haunted by insomnia, someone with a thirst for revenge chases him in the dark of the cold night to punish him for mistakes made in the past.
