Incompletos
filosofía para un pensamiento elegante
Ruiz Sánchez, José Carlos
Elegance, in its etymology, is related to choice (choose), in such a way that an elegant person, among other things, is one who knows how to choose. Elegant thought molds a subject who does not strive to be different from the crowd but rises to a distinguished life. Opposite him stands a hypermodern subject who has dynamited the value of discretion and the sense of modesty in favor of a sentimentalist globalization, which leans towards the plausible to the detriment of the truth, which embraces an emotional configuration of language to the detriment of the critical thinking and who practices otrophagy turning the other into an object of consumption. We are witnessing the vulgarization of an individual who lacks close referents that provide him with the intellectual tools to face a complex and hyper-stimulating reality. The feeling of incompleteness increases, leading him at times to declare himself mentally indigent. For this subject, the time when happiness was a secondary pursuit, the consequence of a virtuous life or a lucky encounter seems to be over. His idea of happiness has undergone a mutation that has resulted in post-happiness.
