Rafi and Frey are the double edge of the same knife. Rafi has been raised to manipulate and succeed in all kinds of political betrayals. Frey has been raised to kill and sacrifice herself as her double: being her twin, she is the perfect target for any sniper trying to assassinate Shreve's future leader. Especially if no one knows about it. When her father sends her to another city posing as Rafi as collateral for a political alliance, Frey becomes an imposter as perfect as her sister. But the facade cracks when the son of a rival leader begins to discover the murderer hidden inside her.
