The ICONA was a living work, which evolved over the years, public policies, global changes or the incorporation of new generations. Relevant and notorious events were derived from all his journey, which this publication helps to understand. This collective work goes from its creation and initial organization, its structure and human and economic resources, to the complex process of transformation motivated by the distribution of powers between the central administration and the autonomous communities, as well as its disappearance and legacy. It also contains technical content, of its main performances, enriched with the personal, experiential or even anecdotal vision provided by many of its protagonists. In addition, it includes the most social, visible, informative or scientific character, which projected the work of ICONA throughout its history and made it an organization known by society.
