Hannah Arendt was the most important thinker of the 20th century. She was born near Hanover (Germany) into a Jewish family. She studied Philosophy. With the arrival of Hitler to power, she decided to fight against National Socialism. She wrote many books and articles and received multiple awards. Her thought, independent and liberal, focused on defending that freedom and justice are the basic principles of politics. Hannah Arendt will always be remembered as a brave woman who fought for a more just and free society.
