Hacienda somos todos, cariño
cómo nos engañan para que creamos que pagamos poco y por nuestro bien

Throughout history, citizens have refused to pay taxes on many occasions. Partly for this reason, states have always been aware that, beyond a certain threshold, taxes became dangerous for collectors. However, today it is rare to see mass gatherings in which less taxes are demanded and smaller states than today. In fact, in recent times we have witnessed manifestations of indignation against the State precisely on the contrary, despite the fact that the current States, starting with Spain, are enormous compared to any past situation. What happened? This book reconstructs the propaganda of the State in Spain during the last years of Francoism and democracy, and warns how it appeals time and again to anti-liberal values ??that have finally become hegemonic. From the campaigns with the famous slogan "We are all the Treasury" to the crushing transmission of the misleading idea that, in democracy, the activities of the State are the simple consensual decision of the citizens. Thus, the payment of excessive taxes has become the norm, which has caused a weakening of citizens and a reduction in their freedom. Supported by history and theory, the authors present a highly illustrative analysis of Spanish tax propaganda, and a wide range of liberal arguments that review with amenity and intelligence the process by which the State has been strengthened at our expense. But they also announce that this is not irreversible.
