Gramática general del persa moderno
Rodríguez Vargas, Joaquín
General Grammar of Modern Persian is divided into five parts; the first, in which the general grammar is explained, the second, where the influence of the Arabic element is analyzed, the third, in which the colloquial Persian is addressed, the fourth, in which the syntax is explained, and the fifth , where the pragmatics is exposed (compliments, greetings, treatments, oaths, etc.). There is also a very useful appendix where explanations are given about the calendar, the festivities in Iran and other elements that, although extra-linguistic, are of great interest to the reader or student. This work belongs to the type of grammars called "descriptive" by linguists because it describes both the grammatical and syntactic structure of the language, resorting to numerous examples when necessary, but without resorting to exercises because it is not a Persian language course. The work is prefaced by a study on the evolution of the Persian language from the first written documents, more than 25 centuries ago, its relationship with other Indo-European languages ??in general and Iranian languages ??in particular, until reaching its Islamic phase, from the VII-VIII, when it was configured, until the 10th century -with the independence of Persia from the Arabs- as the second language of Islam, after Arabic, to then also become the language of culture of India, Central Asia and the Turkic peoples.
