Goliat

Goliat

Gauld, Tom

Goliath of Gath is not a great warrior. Whenever there is an alternative, he will prefer to take care of the paperwork rather than doing the rounds, not to mention the displeasure that entering into combat causes him. However, by order of the king, he will have to face the Israelites daily. "Choose a man from among you to come against me. If he can fight with me and conquers me, we will be your servants; and if I can overcome him and defeat him, you will be our servants and serve us". Day after day, Goliath tediously repeats the same speech, causing his discomfort to persist and his isolation to reach unsuspected levels. Although Goliath's loneliness has its positive side, as it gives him the opportunity to reflect while he observes the beauty of his surroundings.
