Ganas de vivir

Berges, Joaquín

The Llorentes own a funeral home in Zaragoza and seem to inherit some obsessive fixations that prevent them from feeling normal. Grandfather Cosme, the founder, feels a growing fear of being buried alive. Matías, the father, cannot suppress his secret attraction towards the beautiful deceased who arrive at the funeral home, and Tristán, his grandson, who will ultimately be the one to keep the business alive, has a certain inclination for fetishism. When Tristán falls in love with Gracia, who reminds him of a beautiful actress from classic Hollywood, he will realize that he lives surrounded by unconventional people, with no desire to live and incapable of being happy, and he will fear following the same fate. Despite the uncontrolled impulses of each other, the appearance of an unexpected love will suffice for the desire to live to make its way and complicate everything with the vocation of solving it. An acid, ingenious and emotional comedy, which confirms Berges as the most original humorous writer.
