A strong wind and snow storm ravages the empty streets of Sandhamn Island. The lawyer Nora Linde and the inspector Thomas Andreasson are spending the Christmas holidays in the archipelago with their respective families. Meanwhile, a frightened woman takes the last boat to Sandhamn. The next day they find her body near the Seglar hotel. Thomas, Margit and Aram, originally from Iraq and the new recruit of the Investigation Unit, are in charge of the case. The victim is Jeanette Thiels, a well-known journalist who was preparing a report on a far-right organization. After the first interrogations, the police suspect that the murder may be related to Jeannette's work or to her ex-husband. But it is Alice, the daughter of the deceased, who, without knowing it, has the key to discovering the culprit.
