Espermageddon

Sperm quality in the Western world has dropped by almost 60% in less than 40 years. More and more couples are involuntarily childless or struggling to have children. Fertility is declining around the world. You might think that there are already too many human beings on earth, but the problem is that men with poor sperm also have shorter lives and suffer from more diseases and health problems than other men. And an equally serious problem is that it does not only affect people. The same trend is observed among fish, amphibians, insects, birds, reptiles and mammals. What is then to blame for this decline in reproducibility? Is there anything we can do to reverse this trend? Will all this simply lead to the extinction of humanity and other forms of life?
