una experiència d'autosuficiència al cor del Montseny
Monrabà Net, Sergi
In the midst of the covid-19 pandemic and in the midst of an unprecedented ecological crisis, four friends decide to temporarily leave the productive wheel of consumption to go into the forest to experience what it means to live sustainably. To do this, they will spend months thoroughly studying the fauna and flora of the area, while at the same time they will build a wooden cabin in a hidden corner of the Montseny massif that will serve as their refuge. Their goal is to subsist using only the food resources that the forest makes available to them: plants, roots, fruits, etc. A story of friendship and overcoming that brings us closer to the wildest and freest face of the animal world, while reflecting in a critical and local way on global problems and challenges, such as the climate crisis and globalization. The author not only captures the stay in the forest, but also the months of preparation and all the factors that were taken into account to make this experience a reality. Throughout the book, Monrabà reflects on different topics: consumer society, materialism, the passage of time, human pride, the climate crisis...
