As if going through the pages of a book, a bedridden woman with a fever evokes four people from her past: an ex-partner who rose to fame, a roommate who disappeared from the map, a love without a future, a fragile mother and dependent. But who is actually the person portrayed, the figure on the canvas or the one holding the brush? Her portrait becomes a self-portrait, and through the light of the people who once meant everything to her, the woman recomposes the remnants of her youth in the Stockholm of the nineties. Years of parties and academic hesitations, of friendships and loves as intense as ephemeral, when there was still a telephone list in every house, mental health was not part of everyday vocabulary and the new millennium was expected with optimism.
