El triunfo de Julio César

Frediani, Andrea

Despite the great victory at Pharsalia and the death of Pompey, the civil war is not over for Julius Caesar. His opponents have entrenched themselves in Africa and from there they are preparing the revolt. Thus, after having annihilated the threat of Pharnaces, the king of Pontus, and quelled the soldiers' revolt, the dictator has no choice but to confront his enemies. The African campaign will be exhausting, also because Julius Caesar will be forced to deal with his own decline: worn down by years of war and fighting. Once again, however, thanks to his luck and, above all, the help of those who support him - from the faithful Ortwin, to his most secret lieutenants -, the dictator manages to win the war, eliminate most of the opponents and return to Rome triumphant. However, some enemies still survive... And it is in Hispania where the confrontation takes place between the dictator and those who still refuse to accept his power.
